Kilburn MSK Pilot

MUSCULOSKELETAL (MSK) AND WOMEN’S HEALTH PHYSIOTHERAPY SERVICES PILOT PROJECT FOR KILBURN AREA

NHS Brent in partnership with the Kilburn Practice Based Commissioning (PBC) Cluster invites Tenders from Any Willing Provider registered with the Healthcare Professions Council and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (including Physiotherapists, Providers, Consortiums, Social Enterprise / Third Sector Organisations and other Providers) with the appropriate qualifications, experience and financial standing for the provision of the GP Direct Access Community-based Physiotherapy Services in the Kilburn Cluster as an initial one year pilot project. The Services must be provided within easy access of at least one of the Kilburn PBC Cluster GP Practices.

These Services are being procured through the ‘Any Willing Provider’ model as defined in Practice Based Commissioning: Practical Implementation (DH, November 2006) for an initial one-year pilot period, with the potential opportunity to extend it for 2 further years at the discretion of NHS Brent. The deadline for submission of Tenders from Any Willing Provider’s is 30 September 2009. This is a two stage process, comprising of Stage 1 and Stage 2 Tender Responses and Requirements for both Services. All the Tender Documents (Stage 1 and Stage 2) must be submitted simultaneously by the closing date for each of the Tenders.
 
The Services required are as follows:

1. Services Tender A – GP Direct Access Community based Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Services for adults (18+) and Paediatrics (8+) in accordance with NHS, NICE and CSP Standards
   
2. Services Tender B - Women’s Health Conditions Physiotherapy Services for Patients (16+) in accordance with NHS, NICE and CSP Standards

Any Willing Provider may choose to tender for both the Services set out in Tender A and B above or choose to tender for only one of the Services.
