Adult Learning Disabilities

Currently there are 1,438 adults registered with a learning disability in the London Borough of Brent.

Brent Community Services has three teams which provide support for adults who have a learning disability. These are The Community Health Team, Community Activity Support Service (CASS) and New Kingswood Home.

Aim:
The Teams overall aim is to work closely with other health and social care professional to support the development of the four key principles of the government paper in learning disabilities ‘Valuing People’. Rights, Independence, Choice and Inclusion.

Referrals:
As long as the person is registered with a Brent GP and meet the eligibility criteria.
Referrals for CASS and New Kingswood home are health funded only
