Sexual health and well-being is an important part of a happy healthy life.
Your GP practice can provide a wide range of sexual health services including general advice, provision of emergency, long term and reversable contraception, tests and treatment for some infections (including Chlamydia), cervical smears and immunisations.

They will also advise you where to go if your needs are best met elsewhere.
Feel free to speak to your GP or Practice Nurse if you have any questions or concerns.

 Chlamydia Screening Information For Young People In Brent

Chlamydia (kla-mid-ee-a) is the most common sexually transmitted infection amongst young people aged 15- 24 years, which often has no symptoms.

In Brent, as many as 1 in 10 young people are likely to be infected. The good news is that Chlamydia is easy to treat with antibiotics. Treatment is FREE and CONFIDENTIAL.

Getting Chlamydia treated quickly can reduce the risk of you passing the infection onto someone else and preventing serious long term ill-health for both you and your partner.  Also every time you change your sexual partner, it is a good idea to have a Chlamydia test.
