Marcia Saunders, Chair
Marcia Saunders joined Brent PCT as Chair in March 2007, following four years as Chair of North Central London Strategic Health Authority. Her previous career was in local government in education, public relations and social services where she held senior managerial posts, and back in the 1970s was one of England’s first community health council chief officers.
She is currently also a lay member of the Council of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, a lay assessor for the General Medical Council and a member of the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency’s Independent Scientific Advisory Committee for the use of research databases. She grew up in the USA and has dual nationality and experience of both healthcare systems. |
